The Game of 8 ball pool originated in the USA in the late 1800's. The game differs from the Uk version, as the American game of Pool uses 21/4" balls, as opposed to the standard 2" balls used on UK tables. The use of this size ball means that the table pockets have to be much larger.
The US game is usually played on an 8 or 9ft table, the construction of which is similar to Uk snooker tables - using sectional slate.
The slate bed is covered in a napless speed cloth, and the V profile cushions are cut away at the pockets to make the potting of the balls easier.
Our range of American Pool tables includes the contempoary style, to the typical american design of the Elvis.
We are also able to offer a range of American reconditioned tables, which are available upon request.
American Pool tables come complete with: 2 Pool cues, 1 set of American numbered Pool balls, 1 box of chalk, 1 Pool triangle.
